Some links on LanternGlow are affiliate links through Travelpayouts. If you follow one and make a qualifying booking, I may earn a commission from the relevant programme.
The booking resources page lists Trip.com, Klook, Yesim, Kiwitaxi and Welcome Pickups through my Travelpayouts account. It explains what each option is useful for and when you may be better off booking directly or using public transport.
How to recognise an affiliate link
Guides with affiliate recommendations include a disclosure, and the link itself is labelled “affiliate link”. The booking resources page places its disclosure before the booking links. Links to official sources are provided for reference and aren’t presented as affiliate recommendations.
What to check before booking
Compare the total price, what’s included and the cancellation terms. For a tour, the language and meeting point matter too.
For a straightforward attraction visit, start with the official ticket option. A guided tour may be worth paying for if you want explanations or help with the day’s arrangements. A walking route or a public-transport journey may already do everything you need.
Travel agency commissions
For tailor-made trips, I match each enquiry with a suitable licensed travel agency. If you book through an introduction, I may receive a commission from the agency for planning and coordination.
Any commission payable to me is included in the agency’s quoted price. It forms part of the price you pay for the services in that quote; you do not pay LanternGlow a separate coordination fee for this service. Compare the full quote, inclusions, exclusions and cancellation terms before accepting.
The travel agency provides the quote, signs the travel contract, receives your payments and delivers the travel services. My role is planning and communication. This arrangement is separate from the Travelpayouts affiliate links described above.
Who handles a booking made through an affiliate link?
You book with the provider reached through the link, under its terms and privacy policy. Contact that provider about payment, changes, cancellations and refunds.
After you follow a link, the affiliate network and provider may use referral information, cookies or similar tools. A commission depends on their tracking rules and the booking qualifying; opening a link alone doesn’t confirm it.
